The Texas Marching Classic, one of the most anticipated marching band concerts of the season, is just around the horizon. We thought it’d be a good idea to preview the programmes and give you the skinny on what we know about their show this season, with an exceptionally loaded roster on the competitive docket. The 2022 Texas Marching Classic will be held on October 8th in Round Rock, TX, and will be broadcast LIVE on FloMarching!
Cedar Park Senior High School
The Cedar Park Timberwolf Band has been a top contender in Texas and around the country since its inception in the late 1990s. Cedar Park has six Texas State Marching Championship gold medals (the most recent in 2021), was a 2019 TMEA Honor Band Finalist, and concluded their 2016 season in the top five at BOA Grand Nationals.
High School of Dripping Springs
The Dripping Springs Tiger Band has been a UIL State Finalist in 2A, 3A, and 4A, with the Tiger Band being voted 2009 UIL 4A State Marching Band Champion and silver medalist in 2011.
2022 TBA Hendrickson High School Show Title
The Hendrickson High School Hawk Band is a nationally acclaimed ensemble. The group has played around Texas and nationally, competing in both the UIL and Bands of America Circuits in the 5A division. The Hawk Band has performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Fiesta Bowl Parade, and Disney Parade.

Hutto Senior High School
At the UIL Marching Contest, the High School Band Hippo Band achieved a Superior rating for their performance as a 6A High School. At the Round Rock ISD Athletic Complex Stadium, the band competed in the Region 26 UIL Region Marching Contest and the Area D Marching Contest.
TBA James Madison High School 2022 Show Title
The Madison Band is NEISD’s largest band programme and one of San Antonio’s largest ensembles. The Madison Band routinely achieves high ratings at both UIL region and area contests, and it is a finalist in a number of local and regional competitions.
2022 TBA John B. Alexander High School Show Title
On October 30, 2021, the John B. Alexander High School Outdoor Performance Ensemble was named UIL Area G Champion out of 22 Region-certified band programmes in South Texas.
Tipping the Scales is the title of the 2022 show.
Leander Senior High School
The Leander High School Marching Band, ranked among the finest high school music programmes in the country, regularly aims for and obtains top honours and accolades in marching and performance contests. The Lion Band won the BOA Grand National 3A Championship in 2019, was a UIL State Marching Contest finalist in 2018, and was a bronze medalist in the 2021 UIL State Marching Band competition.
The Other Side of Light is the title of the 2022 show.
High School Louis D. Brandeis
The Brandeis High School Bronco Band is a thriving 6A programme in San Antonio, Texas. With frequent BOA and UIL Area Finals performances, the programme hopes to expand and achieve new heights.
2022 Reel of Suspense is the name of the show.

McNeil Senior High School
McNeil High School’s Marching Band is one of the largest student organisations on campus, with about 200 students engaged. The Maverick Band, founded in 1992, continues to compete in numerous UIL and BOA events around Texas.
